#ADVANCEACCESS
KU students deserve more information to evaluate courses. Advance KU will advocate for course evaluations to be published each year, promoting transparency and giving students the opportunity to review course information.
We will advance access to cultural competency workshops to promote diversity at KU. In order to develop and promote a comprehensive cultural competency training for all students, we will work with the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
Advance KU will increase access to administration by bringing them to the students. We will establish a semi-monthly opportunity for students to approach KU's administration with their thoughts, concerns and opinions, allowing the student body to proactively address issues they face.
Advance KU has been working in conjunction with administration to extend the full tuition reimbursement period. The national average allows students two weeks to try out a class and be able to switch with a 100% refund. We will ensure that KU students will have this autonomy as well.
Kansas City is the second most trafficked city in the US, and the cross-continental highway brings a lot of labor and sex trafficking to our area. By partnering with The Willow Domestic Violence Center, we will work to educate our community against this unknown and monumental issue.
We will make travel easier for out-of-state and international students by collaborating with Transportation to provide a shuttle to and from Kansas City International Airport for KU students before and after breaks.
